Creating a wedding montage video (music, pics with transitions, some graphics)

hello, i want to create a wedding montage video (you see them at weddings on the screen, showing the bride and groom pics as they grew up, etc)

I have the music, i have the pics, and i know flash and photoshop. However it's too tedious to do this manually and would like to ask if someone can recommend me a good software to do this with?

I tried VSO photdvd but it seems to limited, i want more transitions with the pics and backgrounds...
 
windows movie maker does do this as Ive done it with my own wedding and vacations. pictures, music, transitions, videos etc all can be incorporated. cant compare it to anything else though as thats all Ive used.
