Greetings,

I am interested in making a bootable disk with support for my external firewire hard drive which I have plugged into a firewire card in my computer. I would like to be able to access this drive from DOS with a bootable disk. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

William

You might want to check this page for instructions on Firewire access from DOS. You don't necessarily need a GHOST boot disk, a recent Win98SE one from here will do just fine. Note that if your drive is partitioned as NTFS, you won't be able to read it from DOS without additional software.

Thanks for all your replies. I found a zip file which allows one to boot using Dos drivers for Iomega USB devices as well as for Firewire. Just unzip to floppy and your done. I also got a copy of Ghost 2003 and created a boot disk as well. For those interested...here is the link.
