Creating a Boot disk in Windows 2000...

Hello,
i'm trying to make a boot disk so that i can flash my bios. how do i do this?

A Win98 boot disk will work.

I would tell you how to do a W2K disk, but it would take to long.

Try the help file in W2k, it explains it there very well.

<< To create setup disks

Insert a blank, formatted, 3.5-inch, 1.44-MB disk into the floppy disk drive.
Insert the Windows 2000 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type d:\bootdisk\makeboot a: (where d: is the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive), and then click OK.
Follow the screen prompts.
Important

You will need four blank, formatted, 3.5-inch, 1.44-MB floppy disks. Label them Setup Disk One, Setup Disk Two, Setup Disk Three, and Setup Disk Four.
Note

You can create the setup disks from a computer running any version of Windows or MS-DOS. >>

yea heres something even better, use a win98 bootdisk!!!!!!!! why do you need a win2k one? your just flashing your bios. run the flash bios program from diskettes.

A Win2k boot-disk set is good for only one purpose: installing Win2k.

You will not be able to flash your BIOS or do anything else useful. You HAVE to use a DOS, or Win95/98/ME boot disk.
