Just ordered 1000 grams of Creatine Monohydrate (100% Creapure) from Prosource.net for
$16.16, plus $5.95 for S&H. Seems like an excellent price for 100% Creapure Creatine.

The product page is here.

Make sure you change the size to 1000 grams. It may take a little while for the price to refresh (from 500 grams to 1000 grams). Also, they let you choose up to two free samples. I picked up a couple of protein bars.

P.S. - I hope I haven't breached any etiquette here. I am more of a lurker here than anything.

That's not a bad price, but I just ordered last week from Amazon and it was a slightly better deal and I will share it here. NOW Sports 100% Creatine Monohydrate 1000 grams for $18.44 w/ FREE SHIPPING

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_os_product

Certainly a better price! And, until recently (before I read about CreaPure), the Amazon deal would have been a no-brainer for me. But, now, I am willing to pay the few extra dollars for 100% CreaPure.

But, understandably, YMMV.

What is the difference between CreaPure? I was assuming it just meant it is 100% Creatine Monohydrate and not mixed with Dextrose or other additives. If that's all CreaPure means then the NOW Sports Creatine is the same thing. Creatine Monohydrate is more like a commodity as long as it is 100%, as there won't be any differences to speak of ideally. It's not like Whey Protein where one company can have a superior product. Creatine Monohydrate that is 100% and nothing but should be the same no matter who puts their name on the bottle. So in that case it is wise to shop for price and price alone.

Don't you think it might be bad to be tampering with your body? We are taught that evolution turned us into the apex predator on this planet and then we turn around and try to improve upon millions of years of evolutionary design. It just seems kind of ass backwards from what we have always been taught and must have some negative consequences.

creatine is one of the few proven supplements on the market. It is 100% safe. You get it when you eat beef just in smaller doses.

both brands listed are good. Can never go wrong w/ CreaPure and NOW is one of the best supplement companies available at the moment. Both great deals.

CreaPure is brand name. Usage of that moniker implies that the Creatine Monohydrate is of German origin, and that there is a certain level of assurance of quality associated with it. In fact, it is the purest form of Creatine available, and most of the scientific studies that have been conducted, have used this form.

This is not to say that other brands/formulations are not pure. They certainly can be. But, the usage of the CreaPure seal cannot be used for all and any formulations of Creatine Monohydrate; it is available for only those that use the specific German kind.

When I buy Creatine, I look for the CreaPure seal, so that I can be assured that the Creatine that I consume does not include formulations of Chinese origin.

Again, YMMV.

Evolution didn't turn us into apex predators. Survival of the fittest ensured that the humans most capable of survival reproduced more successfully than those less suitable--in the case of humans, the ones most capable of tool usage. After millions of years of natural selection, our ability to create tools far outstrips the typical macro-organism's rate of evolution.

So I would say that Creatine is just another proof of our ability to do what nature cannot and will not do on it's own (make organisms with meat rich in compounds that aid in human muscle growth). Good find OP!

Indeed! The human "tampering" (or usage of tools, intelligence, intervention of "natural" processes) is only a part of the "evolution of humankind."

Our use of whatever we use (Creatine or anything else) is proof of what nature does through the use of our intellect. Some of that (application of intellect/learning) works, some doesn't. But, that is how evloution works anyways. :)

if you think its bad, don't buy it/use it...simple as that.

One other bonus if you are buying other supplements, if you spend $200 or more, shipping is free from the OP's source. I'm tempted to place a $200 order and get some other products with the CreaPure

Discussion about the benefits of 100% creapure vs other creatine or creatine in general is prob best kept here. It will likely have a higher number of informed people who can weigh in on the subject. ^_-

There is a downside to creatine - it makes your body hold water a little more than normal. For some people this is a non-issue, but for my wife it made her stop taking it.

creatine is "free energy" for when your muscles work hard, it's used to convert ADP to ATP outside of the mitochondriacs but doesn't have the downsides of anearobic glycolysis. or atleast that's the gist of it, it's been quite a few years since I've had biology.

if you eat a lot of meat you're probably stocked up on it pretty well so it wont make a huge difference, but it can't hurt to make sure you're topped off.
