It would be nice to be able to create color folder icons in Windows.
I actually have a freeware program called color icons, but it doesnt work well. (Eventually hoses the OS.)
Dont recall seeing anything around that will do this, but I know it can be done and am surprised MS hasnt implemented it. Why do you think?

I see that there are a number of applications to do this (eg, iconfolder.exe 1.4.2), but I wouldnt like if the folders were incompatible with other OSes (eg. work well in XP but WIN 7 or even WINME couldnt read the folders kept or copied to a jump drive).
