I want to be able to Create a Windows 10 install on populated USB 3 flash drive.

In other words I have a 64gb NTFS with about 30gb of files already on drive and thought be great if I could and a say 10gb partition and the add Windows 10 install to that partition.

This would be great to do asap as this only USB 3 flash drive and I dont want to back it up and wipe drive and go that route.

Any suggestions would be helpful and if similar thread was already posted could you link that for me to use.

TIA!

You have to back it up and format it. I do it manually, but there are utilities you can use (like Rufus).

Here's a how to without Rufus or other utilities. Works the same, Windows 7 & up..

Once it's done you can copy your Windows install files from a disc or iso image, then you can put your stuff back on it..

I didnt get email to your response but here is how I took care of my problem but here is how I got a working setup.

I used the Windows 10 d/l tool to make an install with both 32 and 64 bit on it.

Then I made a folder on that USB flash drive to put any other files I would use to help with my install.

I could not see any way to partition what I already had but main thing for me was to have my install on a USB 3 flash drive and plenty of room for other stuff.

I can rut this from boot or use it like I did running it from Windows I was upgrading!

Nice way to do my install going forward.
