Yes it's me again
I'm getting CRC errors when I use files coming from my CDs..never did that before, always worked fine.I switched from an Asus P2B to an epox 8kta3 and i've been getting those errors just lately..before, I installed win98 just fine and all my hardware.
I don't know if it matters, but both of the CDs I got CRC errors on were big programs, like photoshop and halflife.
I can extract them fine but when I run the files on my comp, I get errors on some files..I even got an I/O error for the CD rom..did nothing special, just plugged the drive in and rebooted.
I just installed the latest VIA 4in1 drivers (win98) (minus the IRQ driver), nothing changed :\
I'm using the 6.00 PG BIOS for my mobo..I know there are newer ones out there..should they fix my problem?
it really sucks
Any help appreciated
updated: Got the new bios in and it works fine now
