I think it's funny. It does not prove a thing about Toyota, just how lucky this vehicle was. Good entertainment though.

They should've done it at the same time with another vehicle for a real experiment.
There's no control in this one.

Is it just me or is the audio out of synch? (it's probably me...)

:Q - 4000 posts! Wow...I need a life.

Edit - what's their definition of destroyed? Driveable? Simply intact and recognizeable as a truck?

exactly. just because the engine started doesn't mean it's "indestructible". the frame and everything was smashed and frankly speaking it might've just been lucky that the engine components didn't get damaged at all.

jeremy clarkson sucks.

Guys, it's not a real experiment or an attempt to prove anything about Toyota... It's just some funny shiz that happened.

They're not doing it right, the truck, though been through a lot of abuse, but they're all calculated abuses. Take the wrecking ball for instance, it only dented the hood (
rolleye.gif
), and scratch up some other impertinent parts. The fire was in the truck bed and the cabin, and was put out subsequently. The truck was placed atop of the building, which would be the side to fall last, any cars or trucks would have survive riding the rubbles down. I've heard stories of HUMAN that were capable of that (9/11). So in short, it was a very good commercial.

I'm pretty sure no human was able to surf the rubble down on 9/11. Perhaps snopes has it, but there is no report of that on 9/11.

4 or 5 people in one of the staircases on the lower floors survived in the building, but they didn't exactly "ride the rubble".
