Find a way to get a PCI express card slot external, power it , and plug it into any laptop. It would mean that you can plug this external slot into any laptop, and have it be a gaming rig. Best part, completely upgradeable, and could be used with any laptop. Sure it would require it to be plugged into a monitor, or some other external device, but a small price to pay to play. Bet you could get it down to the size of a external HD (powered).
Right now we have amazing 14" and even 13.3 laptops, tons of ram, great CPUs, on par with any desktop. It all falls down at the GPU. x1600 or 7600 is as good as you are going to get for a 14", 13.3 is even more dismal. Not really good for gaming at all. I know that some people will say that the x1600 is fine for gaming, and for many people it may be, but for hardcore gamers, those playing FPS games especially, its just not up to snuff.
13.3 Asus.. great for working, the train, planes etc. get home, or to a friends, plug in the vid card, and game away =)
