Crazy VCore Fluctuations

I've got an X2 3800+ on an Abit AN8 Ultra motherboard and a Seasonic S12 500-watt power supply. In cpu-z, as well as the Abit EQ utility, my VCore is constantly fluctuating in between 1.356 and 1.425. Is this normal? Does your VCore constantly fluctuate? What does this mean?

i dont know exactly why it does this, but my mother board is known for its fluctuating Vcore as well, i have noticed that when you put the CPU under load it will stabilise a bit more, as in it wont fluctuate as much as usuall, maybe thats just me i dont know .. i would just say dont worry about it though.

I've noticed the same thing with my system. Under load, my Vcore is both lower and more stable than at idle: 1.51-1.52 under load (mostly 1.515) vs. 1.55 - 1.58 at idle. Since my system is stable, I've chosen to ignore the fluctuations.

My system seems to be stable, but I've just never seen the voltages change so much. Any others having experience with this?

Well, I don't have an X2 chip but I've noticed similar flucuations in my Athlon XP rigs. Whether at stock or OC'd (24hrs P95 stable too). The 12v rail on my Enermax stays rock steady at 12.01v too.

I wouldn't worry about unless experiencing instability.
