Crazy Texans

The 25th anniversary of the release of the second Mad Max film seemed like a great reason for a special celebration. As the group was headed to San Antonio from nearby Boerne on Saturday morning, police received several calls from motorists who reported a "militia" surrounding a tanker truck, a police report states.

Eleven "Mad Max" fans were arrested after alarming motorists as they made their way to a movie marathon in a theatrical convoy in which they surrounded a tanker truck armed with fake machine guns.

That's too funny...

They thought that nobody would be concerned with a gang of guys on morotrcycls weilding what appeared to be submachineguns? Because "everybody knows the mad max scene" 😕

I would have been laughing myself. People are way to sensitive these days. Gas isn't so expensive that people would hijack a tanker on an open highway in broad daylight. Come on people, use your fricken brains.

The day when Mad Max would be studied in all schools, you might expect someone to see that the hijacking is just a scene in a movie. Until then, expect at least one concerned citizen to call the police
They were lucky there wasn't a concerned citizen to consider itself in danger and open fire. I would certainly acquit him if I were in the jury
