HAHA, good point! 😀 I love spiders, but I draw the line at the black widow, the BRS, and all other nefarious creatures 🙂

jk, you're right though, it looks pretty weird!
 
The male finds a female's web, and weaves his mating thread onto her web. When he's ready, he quickly runs out and mates with her. Males often do not survive the encounter.
