I keep getting a crackle and a popping sound from my speakers. I even get the issue when wearing head phones.

I just can not find the cause of this issue. I have changes my mother board and process (as I'm using on board sound) but I'm still getting the issue.

This is my computers spec
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 @ 3.33GHz
8GM RAM
OS 64-bit win 7
8800 gforce
my power supply is 850 wat (if that helps)
plus its a fresh install.

oh btw this is my first post (hello everyone) i hope im not being cheeky...

has anyone had this issue before and if so how did you fix it?

If your speakers are powered (plug into the wall and have their own internal amps), it sounds like you may have a faulty component in that circuitry. Have you tried other speaker sets?

Yes I tried my head phones instead. but I still get the same problem.

first I tried a totally different wall socket for my speakers power supply but that still gave me a crackle and popping ...

I have just brought a cheap sound card off ebayto see if that could be the problem... but i'm not 100% sure that will work.
