I've never had a horribly high opinion of Shaq. He thinks he's earned the right to say whatever he wants... and I don't think he has yet. I think he behaves pretty selfishly sometimes, especially when it comes to the Olympic Basketball team. He's not on the selection comittee, so he shouldn't outright make fun of someone selected. Saying it was the wrong choice, in his opinion, is one thing. You could easily apply that cub scout boy scout mentality to everyone on the Lakers except for Kobe and himself.

as far as I know, the Laker fans & the organization has never:

Burned a Kings jersey in the center of the court before a game
Poisoned a Kings player (& hire the chef to Arco)
Damaged a game ball of a player who just scored his 20,000th point.

As far as I know, the Kings has never:

Talking about someone's wife
Made racist comment publicly
refuse to play the Olympic because his coach isn' coaching, but criticize and bad mouth the player who is willing to represent his country
Calling other players bum and insulting other coach (Bill Cartright) just because his team mates didn't give him the ball enough

And how did you come up with the poisioning? Kobe got food poisioned and the Kings take the blame automatically?

And FYI, i'm not a Sac fan. What happened to the game ball was low and no class, but just because of the act of some idiot doesn't mean all the Sac town fans "are the dumbest, most backward, and classless fans in the league". I would say some of the Lakers fans (or bandwagons if you want to) annoy me more.

I don't want to totally take any sides or anything, but with that bibby named to the US team thing, not many ppl have reported it but bibby himself was surprised at the selection and wondered why he was chosen. This was quoted in the papers (I forget where). People seemed more aimed when shaq questioned it probably b/c he is a bigger target and has as many fans as haters.

Also Shaq kinda backtracked a little on his comments "clarifying" that iverson should have made it over bibby, saying something to the effect that bibby only had one good year w/ sac while iverson has had many good years, but has no recogition.

One final note regarding the cubscout thing saying anyone from the laker can be a cubscout besides kobe or shaq... that's probably why they're not on the olympic team 😉

I was in the right field arcade when Barry Bonds hit number 71.

I was at Game 7 of the World Series last year.

I was at the Laker game when Kobe broke the 3-point record.

I have never seen such emotion and energy at a sporting event as I did in game 5 game of the Western Conference Finals in Sacramento, last year. against the Lakers. I think it was midway through the 2nd period when everyone decided to stand, scream, and bang those baloon sticks. For the rest of the game. 🙂

Second only to Faker Fans. Of course Shaq calling anybody Classless is akin to the Pot calling the Kettle Black. He has to be one of the most classless individuals in professional sports.
