Crazy question: Anyone have a list of the physical tests they give you at MEPS?

At MEPS they just give you a good once over. No real physical testing as in how many pushups you can do. Your recruiter should give you an idea of what you will need to be able to do before you get to basic.

Heh, I've been to MEPS. ;)

I couldn't duck walk or do the "be on your knees and roll backwards then stand up thing". I don't know if there is anything else. My legs are weak (the muscles on the insides of my legs), and I'm in PT to get them stronger. I plan on joining up in June or so.

it doesn't matter what they do there, just get in shape, they wont have you doing anythign major.

if you can do 10 pull-ups and 25 pushups you should be fine.

you might have to turn your head and cough though ;)

It's just like a regular physical you get at the doctor, plus a dental exam, blood work, piss test, etc.

Then you have to strip down to your skivvies and do some exercises like the side straddle hop, duck walk across the room and back, touch your toes, some basic mobility tests, standing on one foot, being able to touch all your fingers to your thumb with both hands simultaneously very quickly, etc. Bad joints and bad backs will make you fail.

That's the stuff I'm looking for. They need to know what areas of my knees to target so that I can pass those basic mobility tests.

Deep knee bends, squat thrusts, and the duck walk. They want to see if you're symmetrical while doing those exercises I think.

Last time I went, there was a guy wearing not-so-clean Jar Jar Binks briefs.
