Personally, I like complicated things like i-Drive, but that's just my personality. I can see how your average person would get annoyed, though.

I don't think there was anything unreasonable about the review. One of the great things about TG is that they try to give you the real, non-techie person's perspective on cars like the M5. It certainly seems as though the M5 is extremely, even excessively complicated, and I have a hard time seeing why they would allow the owner to adjust some of the fine settings at all, much less make them infinitely adjustable.

If you haven't lived in the UK, then half of what Jeremy is all about may be lost on you. The aversion to flash, bloat, fussiness is just SO British. So a car as over the top in these things just had to get a spanking for it first, before he could tell you about the magical "M-button" and how much he actually loves the car.

It doesn't matter if you could have turned off the nav, or about AM or FM - it was all about the overall fussiness of it that would disturb a Brit...who are his target audience, after all.

Jeremy rocks.
