I have video card envy right now. I found this little hot number on Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo
I currently have the SLI setup in my sig. I game occasionally at 1080p. I could sell my video cards and probably "upgrade" for $140. Eventually I could add a second one. I just think it is a cool gpu with the AC Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler already installed.

What do you all think? If I end up doing this, I am going to start my own website... "lookatthecrazycrapido.com".

There has been absolutely nothing indicating 28nm is around the corner. I hear this advice weeks after a new series launch all the time, it took a year for AMD to release the 6 series on the same process as the 5 series. There hasn't been even a whisper of ES's being seen by anyone, anywhere.

edit: We just saw the launch of the 6770 to retail, IMO, you won't see a model to replace that in that price tier for a minimum of 6 months. Who knows about the flagship cards.

edit: That gtx 580 looks like a beast :)

I think the better argument is that GTX580 is nearly a sidegrade to SLI GTX460 1gb, unless you are noticing microstutter.

excuse me... i dont think so..

My 580GTX will slap silly a 460 any day of the week unless were looking at piss resolution of 1024x768.

Infact a 560 will even slappy silly a 460 any day of the week.

And u want to bring out a 580 into the mix?

You did see he said SLI? My cards are clocked at 900MHz. He may have a point.

I hear you OP. I'm very, very satisfied with the performance of my 5870 CF set up (despite my Phenom II). But, something like a GTX580 temps me just because I want somehting different for no sane reason. :) I'm going to try and hold out to the 28nm cards, but I understand the temptation.
