Now, I personally see prices, sale prices, mostly hover around $20/TB. Some of these prices are like $50 cheaper than that, so I would say, that's a good deal.

I am researching what HDD is in the 18TB MyBook and 18TB EasyStore, they would go great in a NAS, as long as they're not SMR.

I bought some 14TB Seagate Expansion external HDDs earlier this year, for $299.99, a prior decent deal.

Not really. These were going for $199 throughout Nov. $300 is wayyyyy too much.

I picked up 4 and even got the $25 cash back from Chase on two of the drives. So they ended up being (2) $175 and (2)$199.

If I remember correctly, no WD drive above 10TB is SMR.

Yes, it's called Shucking. You can find articles and YouTube videos on it. Voids the warranty though.
