... because the rest of the tube will dry up on you. I've tried the pasty version and same thing happened. Why do they even bother with these long tubes?

How are you supposed to keep it?

They have those little tiny, near one-shot tubes now. You should buy those. They come in a pack of 6 I believe.

I've been using the tiny tubes for a while now. I have never needed a big bottle for one job and it always goes bad.

I have one of the "pen-style" ones that hasn't dried out yet. Use it every once in a while.

That's why I stick with epoxy. ;)

btw-I don't see why they don't make shorty short tubes of caulk too.

They do; not actually tubes, but little "portion paks" like those that are used for take-out sour cream.

The problem is they still cost $2.49 whereas a whole tube of Alex-plus can be had for 50 cents more.

It never dries either. Last time I used it on plastic it probably took 20 minutes before it set.

Didn't know it was supposed to be that long...what a pia. The newest version claims to have a much quicker setup time.

And it expands which is bad when you want a "clean" bond.

Mine comes with a little needle you can use to unclog the tip of the bottle. Crazy glue always gets in there and drys.

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I just recently bought some and have used it only a couple times. I'm feeling like I wasted my money on this stuff when there are so many good adhesive options.

Get CA from a hobby shop. They carry different grades. Do not buy a big bottle if you don't use it frequently as it has a shelf life and thickens over time. Krazy glue is a thin grade and very sensitive to humidity.

Gorilla glue is urethane and requires moisture to cure. RTFM! You need to dampen the parts before putting together. It also expands when curing. It's great to fix wood parts since it expands but I've seen people use it for just about anything.

if you pick up hobby grade CA dont forget the accelerator! its awesome, you just spray some on the CA and it sets up instantly. zero waiting for stuff to dry.
