not a cop, but this is my opinion.

they should have cut off all live feed, and sniped the motherfucker. he apparently was able to view the situation from the tv inside the bus. yes i agree, the P.I. police were incredibly stupid, careless, and show immense lack of training and forethought.

one of the survivors said the abductor did not intend to kill anyone. It was only until the T.W.A.T stormed the bus did he use the hostages as a shield...FAIL

Epic fail. The guys doing the assault were obivously not trained to deal with that sort of thing. The bad guy had all time in the world to kill all the hostages and half of the cops if he really wanted to. Sad that, as a hostage, you have the hostage-taker to thank for being alive.

I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, the government itself is still too corrupt to get the correct funding to provide good training for situations like this.
