Contribute any stories, these ones really cracked me up.
Ok, so over the years my friend has told me a few stories about the dogs his family owned, and how crazy they where. For whatever reason we got on the topic today and I have to post these:
- My friends dog would always chase after cars. One day he actually managed to bite the tire of a UPS truck and he would not let go. He went around and around and he stoped chasing cars.
They had a constant problem of keeping him contained. He They had the standard cage next to the house, he would dig holes to get out, eventually the planted fencing down 5 feet but he would still dig his way out.
A later dog that used the cage would simply climb over the fence and get out.
Due to the problems keeping him contained, they tried chaining him to a tree, it would never work out because he would always just run around the tree and get himself really close to the tree. I'm guessing he did this so they would try something he could escape at.
After that they tried chaining him to a heavy object like a cement block, something like that. I guess they figured he would not get tied close to it and he would not be able to move it. Well the dog acted like he could not move it till everyone went inside, they later received a call that the dog was running all around town. My friend says that he had no problem with it and they soon saw him running back home with the block still attached.
The next idea was the invisible electric fence. This "worked" but the neighborhood kids soon provoked him to chase them and he soon discovered that he could get away from the shock if he ran fast and far. After this my friend says he would just get ready and run really fast till he was clear.
One time the dog and my friend where riding in the bucket of some heavy machinery, his dad was driving and they crossed the fence, my friend and dog where both shocked. This one really cracked me up casue he never remembered this one till a friend reminded him just now.
At one point they had some kind of chicken cage on top of the dog area. They had one chicken and most of the dogs left it alone casue they could not reach it. "The stupid Dog" was a smaller dog, who would not stop barking at the chicken.
Well the chicken would go crazy with this dog barking at it, so it would break out of the cage and land on the dogs head, dig its claws in and peck away. They later found that this had happened several times casue of the marks on the dog.
