Crazy desktop shuffle dance problem lol?

My friend has a problem:
On windows 98 her desktop icons shuffle around randomly?
When you first start the computer you need to wait till there donw shuffling or
you may click on the wrong icon there so fast lol. For instance you go to click on my computer &
it switches to recycle bin real fast? I havent seen anything like it before.
Its like they are setting themselves in order all dirfferent ways fast. Like by, name then size etc..

Please help it could be a easy fix I havent heard of.

LOL, sounds like someone loaded a "funny" trojan on her system. You should go to the System Configuration Utility and see if there are any strange programs loading that shouldn't be.

Other possiblity is a virus (albiet a funny one......)

I don't remember the name, but there is an older virus that will cause your desktop icons to move. Update your virus program and scan the computer for a virus.

Yeah, I've definately heard of viruses that have this effect.
