Or, it was an industrial accident. There is a reason people working on these platforms make absurd salaries, and it's not just because they're away from home for months at a time.

I find it ridiculous that you have (mostly) some liberal members of congress spewing bullsh!t about lack of safety- there are always risks associated with things like oil exploration and it's impossible to make everything 100% safe. The public expects perfection from engineers but don't want to cough up the cash.

i just wanted to continue on with the unnecessary comments, which are borderline call outs. i also wanted to point out the hypocrisy where i'm going to get a vacation for this and harvey won't because he's harvey and it is completely acceptable.

That is a painful truth. I am still amazed during the time everybody complained about high gas prices in the US, while when compared to the rest of the world, the gas is almost given away in the US.

Bit strange is it not ?
