My autoexec.bat reads like so:

SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T2
SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
§Ýì?¿6a¬?¶,õÔ?_´e¸4ʯÊðùè??áêµ? ÚÐ$4Æ?»?G?Ç ¯csêèÔÚ6¦ ??IR'i£Raá ÆôEB?
îŨỠ[^Áx±?d??àà/ 3?§¾nÐ{Fh
f0Ú2XBÿªXDÁؾ¤"ófcXÖÿý7¶S¼Þ?´È´ùw>»bï?aÆØmÛ/÷m0WFÃï½??oÛ?¢`Ù¿ü%Á¨??¿T÷ ©ÞÏ?Þñ¸/ÜÉ"`
SET CLASSPATH=.;c:\COREL\OFFICE7\SHARED\BARISTA;c:\COREL\OFFICE7\SHARED\TRUEDOC
SET LD_LIBRARY_PATH=c:\COREL\OFFICE7\SHARED\TRUEDOC\BIN
SET PATH=%PATH%;c:\COREL\OFFICE7\SHARED\TRUEDOC\BIN

Obviously, I am concerned with the 3 to 6th lines, they are just a bunch of crazy symbols. Should I delete them you guys think or what?

Run a scan first of all. If you have nothing, id probably kill the lines anyway. That just doesnt happen...

It is definitely file corruption. Whether or not it was cause by a virus is hard to say.

That seems to be a corrupted file rather than a virus.

You don't need Aotoexec.bat or Config.sys for windows programs. The only time they are required is when you are trying to emulate a DOS platform for old games. Just delete them out and forget about them.
