Just a few blocks from where I live. The road is 35 MPH. Any guess on how fast he was actually going? 😱

(Not my pics)

A 1998 BMW traveling West on Lake Road, hit the wall at the corner of Cornwall and Lake.
Launching into the air, hitting the power lines, bursting into fire and landing next to the
house.

One killed in fiery Rocky River crash (photos)

Authorities are working to identify a person killed in a fiery overnight car crash in Rocky River. The driver was speeding east on Lake Road about 3:30 a.m. and lost control of the BMW and ran off the road at Cornwall Road, Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Antonio Matos said.
The car struck a concrete wall, spun around, crashed into a home and flipped upside down, then burst into flames, Matos said.
A man owned the car, but Matos said the body was too badly burned for investigators to determine if the driver was a man or a woman.
One person inside the home at the time of the accident was unharmed. The impact of the crash left cracks in the home's outside wall, and the meter box and utility wires connected to the house were destroyed, Matos said.
Investigators do not know what caused the driver to lose control of the car, or how fast the car was traveling. Troopers will recreate the scene of the accident Friday morning.
The car's charred, mangled frame sat on a flatbed tow truck in the parking lot of Bearden's Diner Friday as crews cleaned up debris from the yard.

Similar accident here yesterday, brand new BMW M4. Driver was suspected of being drunk...

He has a picture on his Facebook of a ticket for no seat belt violation, and in the description the cop says he was going 111MPH in a 65MPH zone. Guess stupid people don't learn.

If I owned that house, I'd be thinking, "wtf?! I built this solid wall to keep cars out of my yard. I'm going to have to build a taller wall. Maybe some ramparts, and cannons, just in case."

BMW makes aircraft?

They started out building aircraft engines some years before they built their first motorcycle, and more than a decade before they built their first car, which was a licensed English Austin 7.

Indeed, for years, I and many others thought the BMW roundel badge was propeller inspired, but that turns out not to be the case.

BMW didn't make aircraft but they did make engines for them.

The BMW 003 was one of the first production turbojets. It was used in the Heinkel He 162 Volksjager. Allied pilots had high praise for the plane's handling characteristics.
The BMW 801 radial was used the the Focke-Wulf FW190,

do you even M3 bro?

The answer is always Miata. :colbert:
