Those pics are insane, I would have thought they were actual photos if it wasn't mentioned they are 3D rendered.

The actual rendering can be done in maya but maya also comes with renderman..and apparently the new maya will have 4 or 5 render systems...


the model building is very tedious work..mostly moving cvs around..or extrude and splitting polgygons..all depends on how you build them..w/ nurbs,poly's, subd's.
