Craziest Linux thing I've ever seen.... read on

My console is gray. I don't get it. It's like 1/50th the brightness of X. It's very slow to respond to commands, and it's dark.

Everything else works fine. Just happened. I don't know if this is a software or hardware issue. I'm stumped.

My hard drive was so hot, I couldn't hold it.

Geh, I'm such a moron.

doh! Never had that problem... I dont think. Not even with my 10k drive... 😛

I don't know but something tells me that it's not a hot drive that would do that .. wouldn't the machine just lock right up if it was a hardware issue? LIke a drive issue too ???

If the hard drive was that hot most likely it has heating up the rest of the box, an overheated video card can give really strange visuals.

the solaris console sucks like that, but solaris != linux 😉

I also dont think a hot or bad hard drive would cause your problems.
