Craziest basketball shot to never count in a game

That should have counted though, from my understanding normally a shot will count if it goes in after the clock. Nothing says anything about it hitting the structure of the building to be redirected in the net. (or is there? I'm no expert at basketball).

It hit the top of the backboard. At that point, the ball is considered dead. Not to mention hitting the ceiling and the banner...

Oh ok, so it has to be a direct shot to the basket. Makes sense I guess, that way you can rule out any variables that could potentially add an unfair advantage.

Hitting the top of the backboard is perfectly ok. If it went over the backboard, it would be dead. Of course, the ceiling and rope thing also make it a dead ball.
