Awesome game, I highly recommend it.

Same type of sale World of Goo did a couple of months ago.

At least pitch them a buck if you want to be super cheap. If I remember right it the guys at World of Goo said it cost them .30 cents per sale and I imagine these guys are probably in the same boat.

lol gayner
or is it
gayner lol?

Either one is fine. I would also accept:

Awesome - I wonder if they will post a chart detailing what people paid so we can have another one of those "you all are cheap bastards!!!" post. 🙂

There is a level editor - I think it'd be fun to create levels of old school arcade style games..

Heck - they need to eat - $5.00 should be enough to buy a few cases of Ramen noodles. 🙂

Eh I don't know. To me, if I bought it, I would pay the lowest price. I'm not interested in the game before this sale, so I place no value on it all.

I bought 4 copies at .01c each. Will make perfect gifts for kids.

That is weak. That is douchebaggery of the highest order. I'm not buying it because I don't want it. You're buying the game and valuing it at $0.01 as a gift. You're a knob.

I'm no economist but....

While I certainly don't endorse paying 1 cent (if I bought it I would probably pay 5 bucks, but I don't know if I would get around to playing it...) isn't this similar to their goal?

You value the game at zero dollars. He probably does too, but they're not literally giving it away. In this case that's 4 cents that they most likely would not have received otherwise (a whopping 4 cents, I know). I'm no economist, but this reminds me of the piracy arguments about not counting pirated copies as lost sale/steam holiday sales. I'm assuming with digital distribution there are practically zero costs associated with sending the game. In that case any sale is better than no sale.

I realize that a lot of that is negated by the paypal fees, which is why I advocate paying more than what paypal takes (I dunno how much it is).

It's a fun game, but honestly I don't think it's worth more than a free flash game.

Yeah, I'm really not too impressed so far. It's too easy and fairly boring, but I'm only on the third island so maybe it gets better.

I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight 🙄

In fact, your post has touched me so much, I've decided to buy 6 more copies @ $0.01 to make it an even 10 copies. 10 copies for 10 cents, not bad.
