My computer crashes frequently while i'm playing games (freeze with screeching sound from the speakers). It does that only in games, not when watching dvd or other stuff. I'm thinking my current power supply doesn't cut it and i would like to be confirmed if i'm right.

You can see what i got in my computer by looking here:
my rig
Note: i'm not running win NT but Win ME and i don't know why my profile is stuck with that false info...

I have a relatively large mid tower with two 8 cm fans one front and one back.
I have a large unknown brand hsf on my cpu (which is not overclocked), and the temperatures i get after crash is about 52c. cpu and 30c. system so i don't think it's an overheating problem...
My power supply is L&C brand 300w; it's got relatively low amp. from what i've compared with others psu (14a on 3.3v)

I'm considering buying a 300 or 350w enermax dual fan psu, and also replace my hsf with TT volcano 8. Considering that i intent to upgrade my 3d card this spring with something like radeon 9500 or gf4 ti4200, should i get 350 w or is 300 enough??

If your going to get a 9500, then I would try the 350 watt psu, you might wanna just go ahead and go all out and get a 400watt so you don't have to worry about buying another one for a long time. It's worth a shot to get a good name brand psu. Antec, or HEC makes a nice psu. HEC is my personal fav, everyone here will tell you enermax, or antec. Doesn't matter as long as you get a good one.

Your problem is WindowsME not your PSU. If your PSU wasn't powerful enough then you computer would do random reboots not freeze up.
