Here's my rig
1.33GHz 266FSB tbird
512MB crucial pc2100
ibm 60gxp 60gb
epox 8K7A
GF2 Pro

I installed the 4-in-1's and the agp miniport driver but when I go to run 3dmark 2001 it crashes to the desktop.

Also, the POST code thingy on the mobo goes through everything then to FF but goes back to 39 which isn't in the manual. Dunno if that means anything.

Help please? I am having too many problems...

EDIT: I tried to install Tribes 2 but setup crashes also.

Has 3dmark2k run normally before? It could be the program itself. There are so many variables through the bios and overclocking that can affect it. Maybe try 2x AGP first and run the program while putting any overclocking of the cpu on hold. Run the Dx8 diagnostics too.

Nore - I got mone last week and no problems what so ever

Jittles - what power supply and is the CPU fan plugged into the MOBO or directly into the PS

I see, I hope I don't have any problems with mine. I've seen so many "8K7A problem" threads this week 2 make me a bit paranoid. But I guess i'll be fine since lots of people have problems wiht the ABIT KT7A-RAID and I never had a single problem with it, we'll see on Monday though.

300 Watt AMD approved

Fan is directly to PSU
CPU fan + northbridge fan go to mobo.

Ok, I uninstalled all the 4 in 1's and installed just the top and bottom ones. 3dmark ran up through the lobby scene then crashed again. I installed the AGP miniport driver and it crashed halfway through the first test.

I think the next step is to format and reinstall windows

Anyone else know what I could do here? Any setting I might have wrong?

Make sure you set the "CPU clock - 100 or 133" jumper to 133. It's adjacent to the RAM voltage jumpers. I had the same problem until I realized I had it set to 100, but was running at 133 (or more) FSB - and it used 1/3 divider for AGP which "overclocked" the AGP bus by 30% or so.
AGP couldn't handle it and crashed in games and video apps.

Set that jumper to 133 even if you run higher.

Try setting your ram timings to normal not fast or turbo, see if that improves stability,if it does then you can play with these settings later.

well, I set my mem settings to normal and it passes 3dMark now.

So I guess I am the unlucky person who got the other 5% of RAM from crucial where 95% does 133 CAS2...

Well, this sucks... I wonder if I will even be able to O/C it at all now...

Jittles: Raise your memory voltage to 2.8 . That should allow you to use Cas 2. When you have multiple dimms you need more memory voltage to achieve the same results as having one dimm. Most of the people on this forum have bumped up their mem voltage on their memory.

ok, that's what I figured but I thought it might be like the FSB where there is a jumper and bios settings. thanks.
