Hey guys, New build. 2 SSDs. I have an ocz sata 3 with the OS on it that is working fine. I have a second 160g sata II intel which formatted fine. However, after my computer is on for a little while with the intel SSD in, it causes the computer to lock and crash to BSOD And reboot. Once it reboots, the computer is trying to boot off the larger intel SSD and telling me to insert a boot disk. When I enter bios, the bios no longer lists my 60g ozc SSD to choose as a boot option. Any ideas? The intel SSD doesn't come with drivers or the like. Everything else has been updated.

Odd scenario now. I decided to change the SATA port the SSD is plugged into and it stopped this issue from coming up. I did this after a friend said they had a similar problem with their SSD's being plugged into neighboring slots on their motherboard. Is this something I should contact the motherboard maker about (Asus) is this a known technical issues with SSD's or something? Motherboard only has 4 columns of ports and I have 4 SSD drives I'm eventually planning for this build. Is this issue just going to come back up with the next SSD I attempt to add?

Or it could just be that that particular SATA port is bad (cold solder joint or whatever). There is no inherent hardware problem with using SATA ports that are next to each other, though you should generally have your boot drive on port 0 for convenience's sake.
