CRASHES!!!!

Recently My computer has been crashing alot. Almost always happens when I tab out of starcraft or Counter Strike 1.6 and it just hangs there. I press the keyboard and the motherboard starts beeping and nothing else responds.


anyone have an clues as to why?

Here are my specs:

Opteron 165 OC'd 2.5ghz
2 gb G.skill DDR500
DFI lanparty Ultra D
Latest Patches
ATI x850xt
zalman cpu cooler
Windows xp pro sp2


 
Try playing the games at all stock voltages/speeds/BIOS settings. If it works then, then it's just a matter of finding the 'sweet spot.'

Also, you might as well try omegadrivers (if you haven't already). They often are an easy fix.

Keep in mind to that games can be pretty sensitive to tweaking the HT settings, too, not to mention tweaking memory settings.

Also, seeing as it crashes on tabbing out of the game, try to disable extra visual settings, and disable active desktop, common tasks in folders, and the XP shell (go back to old style).
