Ok, my system is running completely stable P3-600@800 and PC133 CAS2(3-2-2). However, I keep my machine on 24/7, and my screen saver set to "blank screen" after 10 minutes, as well as "turn off monitor after 10 minutes"("Turn off hard disk" and "Standby" are both set to "Never"), the thing is, 50% of the time the thing refuse to wake up, nothing works(three finger no go, num/cap/scr lock all dead, IntelliMouse glowing butt sometimes go off...) except a cold restart. What could be the problem?

Windows, Motherboard, Bios, pick at least one.

I think its WindowsME, I've never had this problem with Win98 before, in fact, its only recently when I observed this problem, over the two months I've used ME I havent seen this problem before. Motherboard is Asus P3V4X and I doubt that it's causing the problem, Im still using the old 1001 BIOS though.

Actually it could be your P3V4X. I've heard of a lot of people having this same problem with this board including myself. A flash to the 1005 bios seems to have solved it for me. Why don't you try updating your bios and see if that works.

LXi:

Just for testing purposes, set it back to default CPU speeds to eliminate that particular variable. Then let it fall asleep and see if you can wake it up successfully everytime.

If that still doesn't work, try the other suggestions! Good luck! :)
