Crash - The Movie

I watched it w/my GF yesterday. Boy this movie was really a great movie. I did not expect it to be so good. I had no clue it was about racial issues. It is a movie that pretty much just shows how racist our society is, and follows a few different stories of people who have racial issues, and kind of inter-relates a bunch of the stores to eachother, putting some of them in their place.

The movie was very intense with many scenes leaving you holding your breath, choked up, and just kind of blank staring at the screen. It had my GF crying and me choked up quite a few times. It wasn't even just because it was sad at those parts, but just powerful.

The movie really is a great movie, and it is very powerful and very intense as well. One of the most intense movies I have ever seen. Watching this movie unaware of what it was even about made it 10x better. It also has a lot of famous actors/actresses in it.

See this movie if you have not seen it yet ...

i thought it was pretty good, but at times it got a little cliche.

i think ludacrous was a little overdone in the movie. the one thing i hated was how he was preaching about how hip hop music is making black people look stupid and ignorant by calling eachother n*gga in the culture (but his point I agree with is valid), but then when they are about to get on the bus (him and his friend) he is sitting there callin him a n*gga like 3 times.

that was a little contradicting on his character, and was one of the things about his character i did not like.

I think larenz tate's character in Menace II Society was more badass than luda's in Crash

Saw it last night. Kind of stupid that it assumes everyone just turns racist all of the sudden. There were more racial incidents in the 90-minutes of the film than I have seen in the last 10 years of my life.

Picture Maddox style B&W crappy MS-PAINT cartoon of old white lady talking to a badly draw Don Chedel looking character.

OLD LADY: When does the bus come?

DON: I don't know. My name is Lamar.

OLD LADY: That figures.

DON: What do you mean you old cracker?!?

OLD LADY: I didn't know this bus stops at KFC.

INDIAN GUY: You JEW! I am not an ARAB! F*** YOU!
