I thought my system was stable until it met 3DMark2001. My system runs anything else completely stable(prime95, RC5, 3DMark2000...) and the CPU temperature never rises above 41 degrees. But it just keeps crashing when I try to run the 3DMark2001 benchmark. I even updated the latest driver for my motherboard(VIA 4in1 version 4.32) and video card (detonator version 14.10), set AGP transfer rate to 2x in bios, disable fast write and side band address but that didn't help. Thinking my video card was the suspect, I decided to test my video card in my Intel
system(pIII700@952), but the benchmark ran for hours in loop mode without any lockups or crashes indicating that there should be no problem with my video card.
My system:
Abit KT7A-RAID Mobo
AMD Athlon 1333 AYHJA
256MB OCZ PC150 memory
40GB Western Digital ATA100 HD
Creative Labs 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 (GF2 GTS)
Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live XGamer 5.1
Netgear 10/100 NIC
Swiftech MCW462-B water block
Win98SE, Detonator driver version 14.10
Any help appreciated.
