You tell her to contact your insurance.

Her insurance should cover it anyways. If not yours will.

You don't do anything. You sit back and let the people you pay thousands to every year take care of it

Don't pay it - her insurer should cover it. Worst case is she or they will sue you but it's probably not worth the effort for either of them.

Don't pay her anything......if insurance wont cover it, let her try and sue you...

it's not worth the trouble and she probably knows it, so she is hoping you just pay up....

tell her anything she needs will be handled by your insurance company and their claims adjusters, and to stop calling you of you will file a complaint against her.
How the hell did she get your number anyway?

She should not be talking to anyone but her personal insurance company, period. Insurance companies get paid to deal with this stuff and figure out who pays for what. You let them settle it between themselves. It's possible but unlikely that her insurance company might then call you asking for the money, but realistically neither she nor her insurance company is going to sue for $200 in rental charges. The last thing you want to do is be exchanging money under the table behind the insurance companies' backs. For all you know, her insurance is ALREADY paying for her rental!

You should probably call your insurance company and tell them she was hitting you up for money, just so they are in the loop.

And last but not least, I'd highly suggest more than $25,000 in liability. $100,000 for a start, especially in an age where even a mid-range German car costs well over $50,000.

$25K? A miata is not worth $25K

It sounded like he hit a car that was then pushed into this lady's Miata. So a three car accident? It wasn't quite clear, though.

What she wants and what she gets are two different things. I have been in a few accidents in my 25 years of driving but I have never heard of the people involved in the accident calling each other ... unless they decide not to file with their respective insurance companies.

You asked what you should do ...

Do not call her. If she calls you back tell her that if she needs a rental to call her or your insurance company about providing a rental ... that is what insurance is for and to PLEASE stop calling you. All transactions should ocurr through the insurance company(s).

I got my truck totalled back in 2004 by a vietnamese woman. She cut a minivan off and the debris from the accident crossed in front of me so I hit them, in my lane. The woman in the van went after the woman who caused the accident's insurance company. When the money ran out she actually tried to come after mine ... because I had hit her too. I put a stop to that with a vengeance.
