Crappy ways to wake up...

Woke up at 7 this morning from the alarm and went right back to sleep....but moments later this chemical smell crept in my room and I knew something was up. As I went out into the kitchen, I heard several pops followed by the smoke alarm going off. It turns out that the adapter to the rice cooker has burned out (due to old age I guess), and that it caught some of the foil by the range. The security company called twice to ask us what was wrong

All in all, nothing was really damaged besides the cooker, and it left behind that smell which was apparent even as I left for work an hour later.

Just wanted to share the highlight of my day so far...

I woke my gf up this morning by opening the closet only to have the sliding closet door fall off the track (I didn't have both casters on the track when I put it back on after painting) and having it and me fall on top of her in bed. She was NOT happy. 🙂
 
At least your computer didn't light on fire....you might've accidently smothered the fire with water and then get pissed and call for an RMA. THAT would've been a crappy morning.

How bout waking up in your dorm room with 4 people in there, 3 of which you don't know, and 2 of which are girls... and you're sproutin some major morning wood with nothin but a thin cotton sheet covering it?

Yeah... and they didn't even leave! I had to wrap up in my sheet, grab some clothes and go to the bathroom to get dressed! (my dorm was more like an apartment, 3 bedrooms, 6 guys per dorm, kitchen)
