Crappy performance..!

I just setup a system, but I am not satisfied with the performance.

The system:
Asus A7V133
ThunderBird 1333@1485 MHz
256 MB SDRAM PC133
41 GB IBM 7200 rpm hdd
Asus Geforce II GTS 32 MB DDRAM

Driver setup:
Windown ME
DirectX 8
Detonator 11.01 (language problem, but I dont know how to reset)
VIA 4-in-1 v. the newest I could find at the Asus homepage
Motherboard (not updated)

Primary problem:
You should think this system run all games like a dream, but I am afraid thats not the case. My 3dMark score was very disapointing around 3000 - and performance in games is bad. If you have any idea about what the problem is then please tell me!

Secondary problem:
The language in my drivers (detonator) is totally f***ed up. Half of the options are missing and half are in my native language - no matter what version of Detonator this problem seems to be constant. If you know how to remove that damn language setting then also please inform me!

I hope someone will be able to help, because I am getting damn tired of sloppy performance in games like Project IGI and Black & White (not as bad as IGI).

If you knew how irritation it is to have a computer with a potential you cannot use 100%.

Try updating your 4in1's Viahardware and update to dx8a link

Sounds like your video driver is suspect to me.

It has been done, but it changes nothing...

It would be real nice if I could get some help with the detonator problem (Problem 2) - because I cannot change any of the driver settings (for an instance: Remove the damn logo in the right corner).

can you tell us how bad "crappy performance" is exactly? Is that 3dMark score from 3dMark2000 or 3dMark2001?

I used 3dmark 2001.

Seems just about right for 3DMark2001 🙂
