Crappy NOTEBOOKS

Ok, I've seen really nice specs for notebooks, but when I try them out, its performance isn't even that hot. Anyone come across the same issue? Weak bridges, nice CPU, sappy memory controller, decent memory, fresh OS, stuff like that.

Slower hard drives are what cause most notebooks to seem slower than they should. It really annoys me, too.

Do you have specifics?

There are some lappys that can hold their own with most desktops, Dell XPS Gen 2 anyone?

There are some lappys that can hold their own with most desktops, Dell XPS Gen 2 anyone?

oh a dell? i was given that any dell is a pos...better relook into that
