crappy 3dmark score

im getting close to 5k on 3dmark05 and im running a 3.0E P4 1mb cache 800FSB, 7800GT 500mhz/1.5memory 2gb PQI ddr2 dual channel 3338 and i see others getting 8k how would i get that?

i get 7k in 3D mark 05, with my gt @432mhz/1.0memory...

1.5ghz memory? thats a huge overclock, could be that the card is overheating and throtling, hows the temp for it? Reduce the overclock and see what happens, sometimes when u overclock the card too much the performance actually decreases.

A stock gt 400/1.0 should get around 6.5k.
 
get rid of the P4, seems is the answer.

other than that, do you have all the quality settings turned to low?

your scores are low, doubt your P4 would be killing your score by that much, as other members have suggested, you should try checking your NV control panel. turn off aa/af, disable vsync, set to high performance...etc. i'm guessing 1.5ghz on your memory is a typo, did you mean 1.15ghz?
