Ok, so I was in the bathroom taking one of my patented PowerDumps, surfing the net, and doing other stuff while in teh crapper.

So I finish and wipe up, and put the laptop on the floor so I can dismount and wash my hands. As I get to the sink and turn on the water, I flush, and hear with dread the sound of a clogged toilet and the water not flushing and about to flood the carpeting with nasty ass water.

At this point I know I'm screwed because my hands are already wet from washing at that point, and either way my laptop's getting soaked.

So I did what any man would do

you had 2 options, i believe you picked it up with wet hands instead of letting ass water flood your laptop, and carried it off, letting the toilet flood.
