They just opened a new Target here in Boston and while looking through the circular I saw a GE Wireless mouse/keyboard combo for $40. My mom is DYING to get a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, but not sure if this stuff is any good? I'm not really into the wireless thing, but hey to each her own I guess.

Anyone have this set? I'm just wondering what you think. I know the latest Microsoft wireless mouse's battery lasts for about 6 months, not sure how the GE one would compare.

So, let me know what you think. Thanks

The only wireless input device I would ever consider buying is the logitech wireless mouse that has a charging cradle.

Other than that, I have no desire to swap batteries out.

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful.

Well is there any ATF members who actually owns the GE set? I'd like to hear from a few users, and get their comments.

Thanks

Yeah it sucks. The mouse goes to sleep, and then sometimes it doesn't wake up right away so you got to keep it moving to keep it from going into sleep mode otherwise it doesn't respond for what seems like an eternity.

I now have a logitech mx-700 and it rocks. (wireless optical with charging cradle)

No, this would actually be for moms. She uses the PC maybe 1 or 2 hours a Week, if at all. And sometimes she will go 2 or 3 weeks without even turning it on.

I am a bit of a gamer, and I love my MS Explorer optical trackball mouse I've had for 2 years now, maybe. I don't think I'll ever buy into the cordless trend, at least not for a few years.
