Jesus is there for you in your time of being unable to make sense.

Ugh I hate those types... Just avoid him/her if you can. Nothing but a lot of frustration & exasperation down that path.

A girl I dated in High school was a baptist. She broke up with me because, shed said "You're a heretic and you jeopardize my reloationship with god."

It was one of my prouder moments.

They should feel guilty, not you.

Just politely tell them you are not interested. Should not be a problem. Unless there is something else going on here...

I always play up the 'reverse conversion' angle.

I mean, it's religion! It's not that hard to argue against! (Plus, if they start getting TOO ornery, you can always pull the "Ooooh, or what? Are you going to have your invisible friend beat me up?" - that's just so immature, it always pisses them off :p )

that is only annoying to me because of her fundamental misunderstanding of christianity. nowhere does it say you should outcast people that dont believe. actually, it says the exact opposite and i can quote that in a few different places just off the top of my head. i wont go there in this thread, but dont judge everyone that is a christian because of a bad experience with one person that was extremely delusional.

you are definitely not a heretic if you dont believe.

you can only argue easily with people because they havent taken the time to study it. if you tried that with me i can gurantee your success would be very limited. it isnt because im super smart or a prophet or some crap like that, but its because im not delusional and havent taken it to an extreme. i know the bible pretty well and i dont force my beliefs on others.

it pisses me off when i see people in the news doing things in the name of God when it is clearly for personal gain. it gives everyone that believes similar to what they believe the bad name.

I just say, "hey, you don't believe in Peter Pan, so I guess your not going to Never Never Land then, are you? I guess we're both fvcked, huh." At that point, if they decide to keep pressing the issue, is where I start mocking their God and it's just turns into a good 'ol fun time. :)

You can have some fun with the "convert everything that moves" wackos. Don't feel bad about their narrowmindedness - its not your fault that she (i say she cause if it was he the OP wouldn't give a damn) was raised by some crazy pyschos that taught her that their small pathetic worldview was the only right one that anyone could ever have.
