Crap man! Virus/worm city

My wife is a college professor and her school was hit with the sobig worm. She was getting email bounced back as infected even after the system came up. Went over and downloaded AVG virus software, and found 49 viruses and worms on her PC.

Now, multiply that times how many systems at her school?

Went to the IT people and told them about it and they were like WTF?

Someone has a headache now

I'm working at a school computer right now... I've been debating whether I should update the virus files for Norton, and whether or not I should do a windows update.... Not my responsibility, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to or not. Usually, the security on this machine would prevent me from doing either task, but the security has been turned off for some time...

I found 19 on mine awhile back.

And I'm running Norton.

Needless to say, I was a bit supprised.

All good now though.
