Good luck man. I can see why you're upset (the guy you hit has a bad record), but you'll probably end up paying unless your insurance company covers it all. Don't let em take your hard earned money!
Outside of my deductable, I will not have to pay anything other than my time.
My insurance limits are the highest possible.
Are you bragging? I wasn't aware that there's a "highest possible." Is this just specific for Florida or something? I thought you could up your insurance by purchasing an umbrella policy for a million dollars (it was quoted as less than $200 for me - I was recently inquiring to protect myself in case something happened that was farm related), then increase to 2 million for another $75ish, and roughly $50 per million after that. There may be a limit - I didn't inquire as to how many extra millions I was allowed to purchase.

I had something similar happen to me except I was the one who got rear ended. Same kind of crappy on ramp where you've got a yield sign and traffic coming over a hill. I started rolling forward in anticipation of a break in the traffic and then cars came zipping over the hill so I had to stop again. Girl behind me thought I went and boom. Difference is I wasn't out to make dough. I just wanted my car fixed and her insurance company took care of it for me. The agent that called me about the accident from her company was a bit bitchy though. I think she knew they had no choice but to fix the damage though.

I am sure if I posted something like that in your thread, you'd be literally crying to the mods for banning me. Sorry I hurt you so much in the past.

How could you forget this is ATOT - where everyone is rich, dates supermodels, and never makes a mistake. Unless you count the mistake Boomer's parents made when they decided to have kids.

this is what insurance is for. Your insurance will cover it all. No jury is going to give him more than the minimum coverage on your insurance for a fender bender at 20mph.
and your rates will skyrocket as a result.
I've gotten 2 cars totaled. 1 was 50% my ex's fault/50% the other driver, the other was 0% my fault in which I rear ended someone and my rates are 2-3 times what they should be because of this.
If you are involved in an accident you will get screwed regardless of the fault.
Alkemyst is basically screwed and has become a meal ticket to take care of all this losers problems. The driver can always say he didn't notice the light change or his car stalled. His mailbox will be flooded by ambulance chasers who will say or do anything to get the maximum amount of coverage on alkemysts insurance policy if not more.

I wonder how many of the smug posters who are showing no sympathy for alkemyst ever follow too closely. In that situation it's just as easy to get someone to rear end you and then pay off your personal debts.

I only have issues with people who are confused.
Same old defense as always: a meek swipe and a dash behind veiled threats. It would be kind of funny if it wasn't so pathetic. Gee...how is this one going to play out? You've already started dredging up the past but that doesn't matter because you're so busy with your own life that you don't care. That's the line you keep telling yourself right?
How many times do I have to tell you? You've been caught in so many lies here alone that you're making yourself miserable and sensitive. If you just start being honest with yourself the healing can begin. The apology is a good start. A step forward on your journey towards the light. Once you stop being confused you should reach out to everyone on this board.

It's ok, these dudes just wait for any opportunity to kick me. If I did this in turn-about they'd being PMing the mods.
Waiting for the wrecker to come get it from my house.

I'll admit to not knowing alkemysts previous driving history, but 2 accidents where you total the car != 1 accident @ 20 mph.

Long story short...busy off ramp. You stop, look and then go.
Pulled up behind a dude who had a clear shot...he went. I get up, stop look for oncoming, still clear...go. Maybe make it 10 feet to find him stopped in the traffic lane with no reason. He just slammed his brakes.
Anyway the impact was more pushing than a hit. I was maybe up to 20mph if I was lucky. He was already on the phone and kept calling people. I had to walk up to ask him to pull forward so I could get out of oncoming traffic.
He just kept calling. Three different police (two border cities and the state), about 6 emt/fire rescue/ambulances. I just had a bad feeling.
He insisted he was in major pain, his daughter? was worried she was going to be late to something...his wife was asking weird questions/etc like when I was trying to get my car drivable "wouldn't it be better to leave it damaged?" just a bad feeling i got.
I get home and look up on our county's court system.
Guy is 67 years old...has a felony drug conviction, eviction, charges of beating his wife (with both listed as indigent), he is on a payment plan for a criminal traffic infraction as of last month (which was $400, he has to pay $30 per month). About 5 other traffic infractions over the last few years.
His wife has interesting stuff too?being sued by capital one, sued by providian, also beaten by her previous guy who she tried to have baker acted, also has evictions.
This is probably going to be a mess.
My car is messed up...with a radiator it would be fine to drive probably (I made it about a mile driving home with it). There car probably could use a new exhaust and rear bumper cover...my car is so low it didn't hit the major parts of the car so much, but it just sort of acted like a ram against the soft sheet metal of my car mangling it.
I am thinking they maybe looking at me as a lawsuit out of trouble.

Ohh, come on, When someone deliberately slams on the brakes (for no good reason) they are causing way more danger to everyone around them. It sucks for the OP because there is no way of proving the story one way or another (He can just say a cat ran through the road)
The OP is probably screwed, which is way to bad. Get a lawyer fast because your going to need one.
