Be very careful when applying touch uppaint. i've made the mistake of making a scratch worse than it was before. but if you are chipped to the metal definitely seal it. exposed metal isn't good. if you mess up, the stuff of wonders is supposed to be Lanka, supposedly takes excess off. I would try putting masking tape around it, isolating the damaged part. then i'd apply the touch up right their, one coat at a time, let it dry, then apply next. make sure the enviromen ti sfree of dust, dirt. apply a few good coats, and the next day or after it is thorougly dry i'd polish that area gently to try to make it blend in.
