John Lennon fans/buffs, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so for those of you who helped with part 1 of the research paper, thanks a bunch.
But anyway, here's part two, the confirmation/refutation essay. I'm supposed to come up with 6 ideas (with supporting details) confirming my thesis.
Which is: John Lennon's troubled childhood and various emotional traumas throughout life influenced his protest against violence.
Here's my problem though, I can't find any DIRECT correlations between his traumas and his protest against violence. For instance, his mother sent him away as a child, then died on his 18th bday. He wrote a song mourning her. Great, but that doesn't have anything to do with anti-violence. His father deserted, then came back to see him later in life. Another scar, but no cigar. He had miscarriages with Ono, but none of it related to anti-violence. Then he died in 1980. What influence did that have? <-- this last one I might actually be able to think of. My only option seems to be to find exactly during what years these things happened to him and try and weave them in with anything he did during those years to protest violence and try to argue that they influenced each other. I'm screwed. Can anyone with massive John Lennon knowledge help me?
