Okay, so I finished one year of college and I'm going to go back for my sophomore year in August.
Either I go back to the Univ of Miami for a second year, and keep studying Biomedical Engineering.
OR, I transfer to Univ of Florida, and study Chemical Engineering.
PROS:
UF - cheaper by about $2500/year
UF - closer to home (5 hr drive)
UF - better ranked engineering school
UF - friends from HS go there
UF - accepts more of my AP/IB credits
Miami - got a 4.0 and it would be nice for that to count toward my GPA (which it won't at UF)
Miami - small class sizes, nice professors
Miami - already know people, met good friends, will have a place with good friend
CONS:
UF - large school, large classes
UF - have to start over GPA-wise, and will be in my second year, so that sucks
UF - have to transfer credits from Miami, hopefully they will
Miami - more expensive by about $2500/year
Miami - far from home (11 hr drive)
What do you guys think? Anyone have some guidance here?
