Crap, Hasbro re-released G1 Transformers -- did you know that?

crap, i just found this out by visiting transformers.com.

I need to get these toys, I am a transformer freak!

Does anyone know if toys r us is still carrying it? it says that it hasnt been re-released yet, but I found on on ebay.

Today I just found the new ones at Wal Mart. 2 packs of:

Scarlett and Zartan

Stalker and Neo Viper Commander (looks like a Crimson Guard)

Nunchuck and Firefly

Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander are supposed to be out, and a Storm Shadow and someone else...I dunno who.

Err....did I mention these were entirely new sculpts/re-dos of the originals? NOT copies.

Finally!! Hasbro finally got their act together! Their current transformers were all crappy failures because 1) They were terribly designed: The parts didn't fit well together, they used odd joints....just total junk 2) They didn't develop any character stats, special weapons, strengths and weaknesses like they did with the old ones (remember the red plastic strip you needed to read their stats?)

I'm gonna start stacking these things on my desk at work

EDIT: Hey....I just noticed Laserbeak is an Autobot now! Didn't he used to pop out of Soundwave (the Decepticon tape recorder (how lame is that???? All the other bad guys were cool things like planes and tanks----he gets to be a Walkman I'd be ticked!)).

They are available at TRU... i picked up TWO TRANSFORMERS at my local store today.
Right now Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Major (was Hot Rod) are available..

Starscream and Powermaster Optimus Prime should be in a month or two...

They WANT to re-release Megatron, but there are laws in the US now about realistic looking toy guns... and Megatron's Walther P38 looks real!!

Can't wait to pick up PM Prime and Starscream. I'd like to see the Decepticon jets and some of the Autobots, like Jazz, Prowl, etc. too.
